You add a new device to the backup in one of two ways: you install the backup program yourself, or you ask INGOS to set up the device. In both cases, INGOS completes the assignment.

Install the program yourself
Download the program only from my.ingos.com. It contains no sign-in credentials for your company, and INGOS handles the assignment to your account.
- In Übersicht (Overview), click Gerät hinzufügen (Add a device) at the top right.
- Choose the operating system of the new device.
- Download the program on the new device and install it.
- The device then checks in on its own. INGOS assigns it to your account, then it appears in the sidebar.
Have INGOS set up
- In Gerät hinzufügen, click Stattdessen INGOS bitten, das Gerät einzurichten (Ask INGOS to set up the device instead).
- The app opens a request. Enter the device name, operating system, and location, and send it.
Keep backup software current
Under Einstellungen (Settings) and Sicherungssoftware (Backup software), you see the installed version for each device and, if a recommended release is available, whether it is Aktuell (Up to date) or Veraltet (Outdated).
- Aktualisierung anfragen (Request an update) asks INGOS to update a single device.
- Alle veralteten aktualisieren lassen (Have all outdated devices updated) applies to all outdated devices at once.
