1. Overview

Backup

2. Release: 2026-09-06

New features

  • Blocked backups are now detected and resolved automatically: if a cleanup task locks the storage location for all other devices, we release it and restart the cleanup on a more powerful server.
  • New in the overview: “Done for you” shows what was taken care of in the background.
  • Compare two backup states — added, changed and deleted at a glance.
  • Back up several devices in a single step.

Improvements

  • Clear wording instead of “Failed”: if a device is merely waiting for another one to finish writing to storage, that is now stated as such — including which device it is waiting for.
  • Switched-off workstations no longer raise alerts. Whether a backup is expected overnight can be set per device.
  • Devices are easier to find and assign.
  • Fully usable on a phone.

Fixes

  • Stalled backup runs are detected and ended. If a run cannot be ended because the device no longer responds, we say so with the concrete next step — instead of continuing to show it as “running”.
  • New Microsoft 365 accounts no longer remain unprotected unnoticed.
3. Release: 2026-07-01

    • Starting with version 24.09, 2FA is mandatory for all partner accounts using paid services. Disabling 2FA at the account level will soon be unavailable.
    • All users in an organization will be prompted to set up 2FA after activation during their next login or when their session expires.
  • Custom API Integrations:
    • Migration from Basic Authentication to API clients is recommended for enhanced security and adherence to best practices.
  • Extended Billing Data Access:
    • Distributors in marketplaces can now access customer usage data even when "Support Access" is disabled, ensuring seamless automated billing.
  • New Public APIs for EDR:
    • Enhanced integration with automation tools for efficient incident management and advanced workflows.
  • macOS 15 Support:
    • Protection for macOS 15 Sequoia workloads, including backup, security, and File Sync & Share.

    • Improved ticket mapping configuration for ConnectWise PSA and Datto Autotask PSA.

    • Fixed issues with data collection alerts and erroneous Windows Update status monitoring.
    • Website backups no longer get stuck in the "Queued" state.
  • Bootable Media: Addressed issues with corrupted backup archives in WinPE-based media.
  • Virtual Environments: Fixed missing quota warnings for agentless Microsoft Azure VM backups.

5. Release: 2026-06-28

Changes
