Local servers were migrated to the INGOS Private Cloud. Customers are connected to the virtualized environment encrypted via VPN and in separate VLANS. Each employee receives a remote desktop user to provide access to the resources in the data center for both locations. With Remote Desktop, internal company data is managed centrally for both company locations, which saves resources and ensures centralized file access. This technology also makes it easy to work from home, which offers employees flexibility.

Edge computing is used to enable very fast access to large volumes of data. Production data and CAD drawings are stored locally in the company on site. This allows real-time tasks to be performed faster and more efficiently, while also conserving network bandwidth and reducing latency times. The use of vGPU makes it possible to run graphics-intensive applications and processes (CAD drawings) smoothly from everywhere.

The following measures were implemented to increase IT security in the company and fulfill the requirements for TISAX Level 2 certification:

INGOS Patch Management for the automated distribution of patches and closing zero-day security gaps
INGOS MFA using security keys to protect against cyberattacks
INGOS Password Manager as a software-as-a-service solution for the encrypted, secure and traceable storage of passwords.

The entire IT infrastructure, including hardware and software on site, is automatically inventoried via asset management. All mobile devices are managed using a mobile device management solution. In addition, all employees are sensitized to IT and the dangers of the Internet as part of security awareness training.

All these measures help to ensure the availability of systems and the integrity and confidentiality of data to quickly resume business operations in the event of a crisis and to strengthen customer trust and reputation by increasing IT security throughout the company.
