The primary objective in logistics is to deliver the right quantity to the right place at the right time and in time. So it was essential to migrate all local systems to INGOS Private Cloud with multiple physical servers in the ISO 27001 certified datacenter and the use of vmware virtualization software to ensure business continuity.
To make the INGOS Private Cloud more secure and to get legally compliant concerning NIS 2 and GDPR the following Security addons were implemented (excerpt):
INGOS MFA using security keys to protect against cyberattacks
INGOS Password Manager as a software-as-a-service solution for the encrypted, secure and traceable storage of passwords
Mobile devices are managed using INGOS MDM
INGOS Patch Management to keep all Systems up to date and prevent 0 day exploits
INGOS Antivirus with EDR to prevent cyberattacks such as ransomware with features like flight recording and endpoint isolation.
Employees are sensitized how to use the infrastructure and the dangers of the internet as part of security awareness trainings.
All these measures help to ensure the availability of systems and the integrity and confidentiality of data, to quickly resume business operations in the event of a crisis and to strengthen customer trust and reputation by increasing IT security throughout the company. The implementation of the measures mentioned above provide a good basis in case a company is considered a critical infrastructure (KRITIS).
